Sally Jamila

Sally Jamila is a vocalist, performer, composer, and arranger living in West Auckland. Her improvisational and instrumental harmonic style reflects her journey through jazz and world music. Born in New Zealand, Sally's Cook Islands–Tahitian roots have woven together with Croatian influences and blended with her Indian heritage, creating a rich tapestry of cultural inspiration. Her music is diverse and interdisciplinary, revealing treasured fragments through the artistry of tapu taonga. Among her current projects, ACAPOLLiNATIONS, Sacred Offerings, and the Crucibulum, she also collaborates in SAJA Project, which released its debut album in 2026.

Sally’s passion is using her craft as a means for exploring narratives of universal meaning and profundity. In acknowledging the power and emotional force of music, she dedicates her life to the living practice of transformation through art.
